The Elvis Suite is located on the first floor of a three-storey block of flats at the northwest corner of the site. Bounded by Third Street to the west and I-40 to the north, the building which houses the apartment is located within the property's security fencing. The two-bedroom suite measures approximately 689 square feet.
Great care has been taken to return the apartment to the way it may have looked when the Presleys lived there. After extensive research with Memphis Heritage preservation, the Elvis Presley Enterprises and City of Memphis archives, and interviews with former residents who lived in The Courts at that same time, the apartment has been furnished in a style appropriate to the period combined with the modern touches that our most discerning guests expect. Interior finishes have been replicated in the apartment including hardwood parquet flooring in the living room and bedrooms, linoleum in the kitchen and 1" hexagonal white ceramic tile in the bathroom. Authentic period pieces and appliances including 1951 Fridgedair refrigerator, Vesta stove and free-standing sinks add character and charm.
